Annie has worked with a range of theatre companies including Oran Mor, A&B productions, Dogstar, The Arches, Communicado and The National Theatre of Scotland.

Memorable roles include ‘Siolaigh’ for the NTS’ production of ‘The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart’ and ‘Poker Alice’ in Greg Hemphill’s one-woman show for Oran Mor.

Musician/Singer

Annie is an actor, musician, singer and musical director, whose career has spanned 25 years. She trained at Glasgow School of Art, before becoming a founder member of the Scottish folk group ‘Iron Horse’ The band quickly established a reputation as one of the new and innovative Scottish sounds of the nineties, leading the way in the folk revival. The group toured internationally over a 12- year period and recorded several albums. Annie has also released two solo albums ‘Take me out drinking tonight’ (1994) and ‘The Bell’ (2012)

Annie’s main instruments are pipes and whistles. She has worked as an Actor/Singer/Musician on many shows. Most recent credits include The Pie-Eyed Piper of Hamilton (Oran Mor/Ayr Gaiety) The Tin Forrest, Blabbermouth and The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart (National Theatre of Scotland)

She released her first solo album ‘Take me out drinking tonight’ in 2004 and in 2012 released solo album ‘The Bell’
