Laurie Motherwell is a playwright born, raised, and based in Glasgow. Laurie is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh’s MSC in Playwriting, and is a proud member of the Scottish Society of Playwrights.

Laurie recently undertook the Write4Film screenwriting programme with the Scottish Film Talent Network developing his play Churned into a feature length film.
In 2019 Laurie was a recipient of a New Playwrights’ Award from the Playwright’s Studio, Scotland to develop his new play for the day you love me (too).
