Wild Rose – On General Release

Wild Rose goes on general release on 12th April and features BAA’s Natali McCleary and David McGowan.

Rose-Lynn Harlan is bursting with raw talent, charisma and cheek. Fresh out of jail and with two young kids, all she wants is to get out of Glasgow and make it as a country singer. Her mum Marion has had a bellyful of Rose-Lynn’s Nashville nonsense. Forced to take responsibility, Rose-Lynn gets a cleaning job, only to find an unlikely champion in the middle-class lady of the house.
Wild Rose is a comedy-drama about mothers and daughters, dreams and reality and three chords and the truth.

After a hugely successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2018, Morna Young‘s Aye, Elvis returns to Oran Mor as part of their 500th Play Celebration season.

Written by BAA’s Morna Young and starring Joyce Falconer and David McGowan, Aye, Elvis tells the story of Joan – an amateur Elvis impersonator with big dreams. And the outfit.

Armchair Detectives – BBC One

From the comfort of armchairs in the studio, three amateur sleuths, they watch the drama play out as Mortcliff’s crack team of detectives make enquiries with the local residents. But in a show where everyone has a motive, it might prove harder to catch the culprit than you think. The Armchair Detectives are introduced to suspects, uncover vital clues and share their thoughts and theories as the story unfolds, before making their final accusation in a bid to win the golden magnifying glass trophy.

Claire’s kids have fled the nest. The hole this leaves in her life brings on a crippling fear of flying. Her fear has bled into most things now. Her life is becoming smaller. Her husband Pete works on the rigs and is due to retire soon. He thinks Claire’s been dealing with her phobia. She’s promised him this time she has. She hasn’t. Fear of flying is just one of the many symptoms threatening this long fragile marriage.
