Joyce Falconer was raised in Torry, Aberdeen and trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
She has worked extensively in theatre throughout her career, most recently playing the role of ‘Joan’ in Aye, Elvis by Morna Young and ‘Maw Broon’ in Selladoor’s Scottish tour of The Broons. She has also worked with Raindog, Citizens Theatre, Tron Theatre, The Arches, NTS, Communicado, His Majesty’s Aberdeen and Oran Mor.
Her other theatre roles include ‘Titania’ in A Midsummer Nights Dream, ‘Jean Guthrie’ in Sunset Song and ‘Olga’ in Chekhov’s Three Sisters and ‘La Corbie’ in Mary Queen of Scots Got Her Head Chopped Off (NTS).
Joyce is also a pantomime favourite, appearing in Cinderella, Snow White, The Wizard That Never Woz and Pinnochio to name but a few.
Her TV and film credits include: River City, Taggart, Rab C Nesbitt, Cardiac Arrest 1&2, Finney, Beyond The Bothy, and Linda in ‘The Hawk’.
Joyce is a singer songwriter who often writes original material for bespoke cabaret performances.
Her main instrument is accordion, she is also proficient in clarinet, harmonica, keyboards/piano and organ and has a strong alto voice.
