Linda is a Scotland based, working-class writer who pens original, female-led, character-driven stories with punch! When not writing or bingeing telly she loves to go for a walk on a beach. Linda is a finalist of CH4 New Writer’s 2024, was selected for the Tall Pictures female 40+, 2023, and shortlisted for the BBC Writer’s Room, 2022. She’s received training and funding from NFTS, BAFTA, All3media, Creative Scotland, Screen Skills, BECTU and a SHEDscholarship for her MATV Fiction Writing at GCU, 2018.

Her work is championed by Claire Armspach (STV Drama Dev.), Writer Amy Roberts, Sarah Barton (STV/Red Planet) and Peter Ansorge (NFTS/CH4) who cites her pilot ‘S.O.L.O’ as a “work of genuine excellence and originality”, and invited her to talk to NFTS Edit students about her process on it.
