Martin is a Paisley-born, Perthshire-based actor, director and playwright. He trained as an actor at the RSAMD (now RCS) graduating in 2007.

As a playwright, he emerged from the  'Traverse 50' a scheme, run by then AD Orla O'Loughlin, to commemorate their 50th anniversary in 2012. As a result, he was subsequently commissioned by the Traverse Theatre. 

He has been a contributor to the River City script team for several years now and is also the resident writer and director of the Howden Park Panto in Livingston.
