Peter Arnott was born in Glasgow when Dinosaurs roamed the Earth. With fifty or so professional productions behind him, he has been described as one of Scotland's most beloved and prolific playwrights. He has worked with many actors, directors and composers who have gone on to wealth and fame and will grumpily complain about this when poked. He is currently under commission by reputable and succesful theatre producers in Scotland, which he takes to mean that there is no substitute for a bloody-minded refusal to go away. As well as theatre in Scotland and elsewhere, he has dipped his toes in the shark-infested ponds of fiction, journalism, television, radio, pop music and film and now walks with the aid of a stick. He can be roused from angry slumber by almost any offer of almost any kind. Despite his reputation for political integrity, he has no identifiable sense of shame.
